Russia has threatened to block imports of GPS enabled mobile phones unless they are able to connect to its own satellite navigation system - known as GLONASS. The chief executive of oil-to-telecoms holding company Sistema, which is developing GLONASS, said the firm had held conversations about the technology with manufacturers such as Nokia, Siemens and Motorola.
